Thailand Wetter

What can you do with “Wet Tamarind” as a cooking ingredient?
I just picked up a small package of it in the supermarket, but have no idea what it is, and what it’s used for. It came from the Asia section and is made in Thailand. That’s as far as my knowledge extends.
No problem !
You could use tamarind pulp in many ways ,but use it up in a week’s time or so ,and keep refridgerated .
Prepare any lentil , add some tamarind paste and jaggery , by using all other usual masalas ,like red chilli powder, cumin seeds , curry leaves etc. and serve hot garnished with fresh chopped coriander ; makes yummy dal ,to go with steamed rice.
2. assemble two or three green chillies, mint leaves, garlic buds, fresh ginger , cumin seeds, some fresh coconut grated, and blend the stuff in a mixer. use some seedless khajur, that is black or red dates, and a bit of the tamarind paste, heat oil , and give a tadka of mustard seeds ,that is tempering ; add salt and some sugar for taste.
You can use this chutney ,to go with any snacks like samosas, pakodas , sandwiches etc.
