Using Color in Graphic Design
What color?
In 1666, the English scientist Sir Isaac Newton discovered that when pure white light passes through a prism, it separates into all visible colors. Newton also found that each color is composed of a single wavelength and can not be further apart in other colors.
Other experiments have shown that light could be combined to form other colors. For example, red light mixed with yellow light creates an orange. A color resulting from a mixture of two colors is known as metamerism. Some colors such as yellow and purple, they cancel each other when mix and produce white light. These colors are known as supplements to the competition.
The color psychology – psychological effects of color
Although the color perception is subjective, there are effects of color who have a universal meaning. The colors in the spectrum of reds are called warm colors are red, orange and yellow. These warm colors evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility.
The colors in the blue part spectrum are known as cool colors and include blue, purple and green. These colors are often described as quiet, but may also appeal to the feelings of sadness or spirit of indifference.

Meaning of blue
Blue is the most "favorite color." Blue is considered trustworthy, reliable and committed. The color of the sky and sea, blue is perceived as a constant in our lives.
